Georgina Luck is a strong inspiration to my recipe book project. To understand her process I copied four of her illustrations as identical as I could. This is Georgina Luck's original.
To start I did rough drawings of the pumpkins to test colours so that I could identify the perfect colour choices. I did this for each illustration.
I drew each illustration free hand and then painted them using the colour choices I had previously selected.
I also flicked paint onto a page with a green hue so that when it came to change the colouring of the splats I only needed to edit the hue.
When it came to editing, I mainly changed the levels, hue, lightness and saturation. I kept the original illustration on the page so that I could get the copy as exact as I could.
