This is the original illustration by Eliza Wheeler that I have copied.
I approached this by using two layers. The bottom layer would be the painting shown below. I did this using watercolour paint.
The top layer would be the black outline. To change the image into an outline I put it into threshold (black and white only). I then deleted the white so that the painting was visible underneath, with the outline sitting on top.
After placing alining the two layers I edited the colours. To do this I changed the levels, hue, saturation and lightness.
This is my finished copy.
